Corporate Overview

INDUS Technology, Inc. was formed in 1991 in San Diego, CA. The company s primary activity is to provide systems engineering, technical and program management services for government and industry clients. INDUS is a growing firm that continues to expand and redefine its capabilities as it stretches to meet the challenges of the government into the twenty-first century.

Contract Summary

INDUS Technology, Inc was awarded a Management, Organizational and Business Improvement Services (MOBIS) Contract No.GS-10F-0412N effective May 22, 2003 through May 21, 2008. The contract includes an Option to extend the services, if exercised, from May 22, 2008 through May 21, 2013. This contract is a GSA indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract. There is no formal advertising required, services can be ordered in a few short hours, and these services are fixed-price delivery orders. There is also a labor hour option. Another advantage of using our schedule is that the ordering agency pays no additional charges. We are a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). An order to us can help meet some of your agency s set-aside goals. Finally, any agency can use our service. Please see Contract Terms and Conditions provided below for more details.

SIN Definitions and Examples:


874-1 Consulting Services:

Contractors shall provide expert advice, assistance, guidance or counseling in support of agencies management, organizational and business improvement efforts. This may also include studies, analyses and reports documenting any proposed developmental, consultative or implementation efforts. Examples of consultation include, but are not limited to: strategic, business and action planning; cycle time; procurement planning; high performance work; leadership systems; process and productivity improvement; organizational assessments and program audits and evaluations.


874-2 Facilitation Services:

Contractors shall provide facilitation and related decision support services to agencies engaging in collaboration efforts, working groups, or integrated product, process or self-directed teams. Agencies bringing together diverse teams and /or groups with common and divergent interests may require a neutral party to assist them in: the use of problem solving techniques; resolving disputes, disagreements and divergent views; logistical meeting/conference support when performing technical facilitation; recording discussion content and focusing decision-making; debriefing and overall meeting planning; convening and leading large and small group briefings and discussions and preparing draft and final reports for dissemination.


874-7 Program Integration and Project Management Services:

Contractors shall provide services in the management, integration and programs and projects. These services may include, but are not limited to: program management; program integration; program oversight; budgetary & contractual planning and integration and project management.


874-5 Support Products:

Support products are those items used in support of services offered in SINs 1, 2 & 7. They could include: workbooks, training manuals, slides, state of the art computer based training, audio cassette tapes, video tapes, overhead transparencies, interactive training services, cd-roms, advanced presentation media, assessment/survey instruments, satellite or internet broadcast media.


Terms & Conditions

1. FOB Point: Destination. Domestic and Overseas
2. Prompt Payment Discount: 1% 15 days, Net 30 days
3. Warranty: None
4. Quantity/Dollar Volume Discount: A 2% discount will be offered for any order exceeding $300,000.00
5. Minimum Order: The minimum order designated for contracts awarded under this solicitation is $300.00
6. Maximum Order: The maximum order designated for contracts awarded under this solicitation is $1,000,000.00 without further approval.
7. Types of Orders: Both Firm Fixed Price (FFP) and Time and Material (T&M) orders are accepted under this contract.
8. Labor Hour Recording and Billing System: INDUS Technology possesses an adequate and acceptable labor hour recording and invoicing system capable of fully supporting labor hour invoices, therefore, INDUS Technology, is approved to accept labor hour task orders from customer agencies under this contract.
9. Industrial Funding Fee: In accordance with Clause 552.238-77, INDUS Technology will pay GSA a 0.75% fee of the total sales reported on the GSA forms 72A on a quarterly basis.
10. Security Clearances: INDUS is cleared to the TOP SECRET level and can furnish employees with security clearances.
11. Other Direct Costs (ODCs): INDUS Technology understands that if during the time of an individual task order the other direct costs exceed $2,500, the other direct costs will be competed on an open market basis or added through modification to this contract.
12. Travel: Any travel required by an ordering agency, in the performance of services under this contract, will be negotiated and reimbursed by the ordering agency. Contractor travel will be in accordance with the Federal Travel Regulation or Joint Travel Regulations, as acceptable. Established federal government per diem rates will apply to contractor travel, plus applicable G&A expenses.

LABOR CATEGORY DESCRIPTIONS

Functional Specialist/Senior Facilitator

Duties: Recognized within his/her community as an expert in a functional specialty (e.g. Knowledge Management, Business Process Re-Engineering, IT, Engineering, Program Management, Law, Patent Law, Intellectual Property, Procurement, Finance, etc.) requiring a highly specialized discipline or skill set derived from a combination of formal study, experience, innovation and functional community acceptance. This experience and specialization usually crosses more than one functional boundary. Responsible for innovative concept formulation, think - tank studies, and nonroutine solution generation for unique one-of-a-kind or cutting edge technology or problem resolution. This includes specialized legal counsel requiring a technical understanding of the field in question and the governing legal statute, public law, or other directive or governing practice. Provides advice and counsel at the highest echelons of government departments, or organizations.

Education: PhD, Juris Doctorate

Experience: Typically has at least ten years specialized experience directly related to the relevant program (law, finance, engineering, public administration, procurement).

Considered an expert in field of service. Eight additional years experience with Masters Degree is considered equivalent to a PhD.


Program Director:

Duties: Responsible for planning, organizing, staffing, directing, and controlling subordinates in multiple programs. Requires a high level of technical knowledge and experience. Analyzes complex problems and develops unique solutions. Is a recognized leader in one or more disciplines. May serve as a prime point of contact for clients. May serve to coordinate and direct Senior Program Managers in their efforts.

Education: MA/MS degree

Experience: Typically has at least eight years directly related experience, including prior management responsibility in a professional services company or related industry, or Bachelors degree in functional area or related discipline plus at least 12 years directly related experience, including prior management responsibility in a professional services company or related industry.


Sr. Program Manager:

Duties: Performs day-to-day management of overall contract support operations, involving multiple projects and groups of personnel at multiple locations or a large-scale project. Manages assigned programs and performs tasks in area of technical expertise; supervises assigned technical and administrative staff, and performs related work as required. Manages task performance; ensures that tasks under assigned projects are completed to the satisfaction of the client; ensures quality assurance of project deliverables; schedules, coordinates, directs, monitors, and reviews activities of staff, performs contract administration duties such as preparation of monthly status report, budget development, task projections, and financial reviews and analyses; and interacts with clients, client staffs, vendors, subcontractors, and other agencies on a regular basis to determine customer requirements.

Education: BA/BS degree

Experience: Typically has a minimum of six years of experience in managing complex technical areas of expertise involving multiple facets of the specific discipline.

Four additional years of general experience is considered equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree


Program Manager:

Lead Analyst:

Duties: This category includes all labor efforts identified as business and finance in nature, including but not limited to finance and accounting, contracting, cost estimating, performing business operations analysis, program/project control, project planning and scheduling, and logistics. This position performs complex evaluations of existing procedures, processes, techniques, models, and/or systems related to management problems or contractual issues which would require a report and recommend solutions. Responsible for contract award functions including negotiations, cost/price analysis and administration of contracts for services and equipment in support of studies, evaluations, and surveys for the various divisional programs. Reviews requests for contracts for services, determining the most appropriate procurement methods to meet the program objectives; prepares solicitation documents by incorporating the appropriate provisions and clauses including cost data requirements, etc. Responsible for resource requirements definition, budgeting, budget planning, spend-plan development, operating budget execution, the processing of financial and contractual documentation, expenditure tracking and analysis, accounting, accounting reconciliation, document analysis and closure, as well as the design development, update, and delivery of financial metrics and reports to measure progress achieved against established plans. Applies appropriate management analysis processes, modeling and simulation tools, and technical techniques to provide the services required. Employs process improvement and reengineering methodologies and principles to conducting process modernization projects. Provides group facilitation, interviewing, training, and additional forms of knowledge transfer. Coordinates multiple project teams to ensure enterprise-wide integration of management efforts. Additional duties may include, but is not limited to, work breakdown structures, prepare charts, tables, graphs, reports, and diagrams to assist in analyzing problems. May work without specified guidelines on broadly defined projects. Expected to provide original thought. The Lead Analyst should be capable of providing training, guidance, and direction to all lower level Analysts.

Education: MS/MA degree

Experience: Typically has a minimum of eight years of experience performing within the specified area. Four additional years of experience is considered equivalent to a Masters Degree


Senior Analyst:

Duties: This category includes all labor efforts identified as business and finance in nature, including but not limited to finance and accounting, contracting, cost estimating, performing business operations analysis, program/project control, project planning and scheduling, and logistics.This position performs complex evaluations of existing procedures, processes, techniques, models, and/or systems related to management problems or contractual issues which would require a report and recommend solutions. Experience: Typically has a minimum of six years of experience performing within the specified area. Four additional years of experience is considered equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree


Analyst:

Duties: This category includes all labor efforts identified as business and finance in nature, including but not limited to finance and accounting, contracting, cost estimating, performing business operations analysis, program/project control, project planning and scheduling, and logistics. This position performs complex evaluations of existing procedures, processes, techniques, models, and/or systems related to management problems or contractual issues which would require a report and recommend solutions. Responsible for contract award functions including negotiations, cost/price analysis and administration of contracts for services and equipment in support of studies, evaluations, and surveys for the various divisional programs. Reviews requests for contracts for services, determining the most appropriate procurement methods to meet the program objectives; prepares solicitation documents by incorporating the appropriate provisions and clauses including cost data requirements, etc. Responsible for resource requirements definition, budgeting, budget planning, spend-plan development, operating budget execution, the processing of financial and contractual documentation, expenditure tracking and analysis, accounting, accounting reconciliation, document analysis and closure, as well as the design development, update, and delivery of financial metrics and reports to measure progress achieved against established plans. Applies appropriate management analysis processes, modeling and simulation tools, and technical techniques to provide the services required. Employs process improvement and reengineering methodologies and principles to conducting process modernization projects. Additional duties may include, but is not limited to, work breakdown structures, prepare charts, tables, graphs, reports, and dia grams to assist in analyzing problems. Performs professional work that is somewhat challenging and varied. The Analyst should be capable of performing all the tasks associated with this labor category with minimal supervision. The Analyst should be capable of providing training, guidance, and direction to Junior Analysts.

Education: BS/BA degree.

Experience: Typically has a minimum of four years of experience performing within the specified area. Four additional years of experience is considered equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree


Jr. Analyst:

Duties: This category includes all labor efforts identified as business and finance in nature, including but not limited to finance and accounting, contracting, cost estimating, project control, project planning and scheduling, and logistics. It includes performing business operations analysis, program control, or contract administration for government or commercial programs. Including, but not limited to responsibility for resource requirements definition, budgeting, budget planning, spend-plan development, operating budget execution, the processing of financial and contractual documentation, expenditure tracking and analysis, accounting, accounting reconciliation, document analysis and closure, as well as the design development, update, and delivery of financial metrics and reports to measure progress achieved against established plans. Applies appropriate management analysis processes, modeling and simulation tools, and technical techniques to provide the services required. Employs process improvement and reengineering methodologies and principles to conducting process modernization projects. Provides group facilitation, interviewing, training, and additional forms of knowledge transfer. Additional duties may include, but is not limited to, work breakdown structures, prepare charts, tables, graphs, reports, and diagrams to assist in analyzing problems. The Junior Financial Program Analyst will normally work under the supervision of a more senior analyst.

Education: BS/BA degree.

Experience: Typically has less than four years of experience performing management analysis. Four additional years of experience is considered equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree


Documentation Specialist:

Duties: Gathers, analyzes, and composes technical information. Conducts research and ensures the use of proper technical terminology. Translates technical information into clear, readable documents to be used by technical and non-technical personnel. May direct the work of Tech Writer/Editor and/or Graphics Personnel.

Education: BA/BS

Experience: Typically has a minimum of six years of professional or equivalent training in a related discipline. Four additional years of experience is considered equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree.


Tech Writer/Editor:

Duties: Assists in collecting and organizing information required for preparation of user's manuals, training materials, installation guides, proposals, and reports. Edits functional descriptions, system specifications, user's manuals, special reports, or any other customer deliverables and documents.

Education: Associates Degree

Experience: Typically has a minimum of four years of professional or equivalent training in a related discipline. Three additional years of experience is considered equivalent to an Associates Degree


Graphics Artist:

Duties: Develops graphic artwork in a variety of media to support publication requirements. Typically uses computerized equipment. Produces a variety of art work, including technical and commercial documentation support assignments, view graph and 33mrn slide presentations, pamphlets, brochures, and other forms of artwork. Uses perspective, isometric, orthographic, and schematic techniques to prepare technical and non-technical illustrations and line drawings for slide presentations, view graphics, reports, brochures, etc. Performs conceptual and visualization work.

Education: Min 24 + semester hours College Courses or Technical School Certificate

Experience: Typically has a minimum of four years of professional or equivalent training in a related discipline. Two additional years of experience is considered equivalent to the 24 Semester Hours of Technical School Certificate.


Graphics Technician:

Duties: Provides graphics support by producing brochures, briefings, displays, and other materials; coordinates production of materials; may serve as a technical team lead. Designs, lays out, and produces brochures, pamphlets, briefings, displays, posters, fliers, and printed materials such as magazines; coordinates the production of deliverables, marketing materials and trade shows; creates client requested displays, scanned documents, and photography; and participates in the design and creation of videos using computers and video equipment and cameras.

Education: High School diploma.

Experience: Typically has a minimum of one or more year s directly related experience. Two additional years of experience is considered equivalent to a High School Diploma.


Senior Data Base Management Specialist

Duties: Manages the development of data base projects. Plans and budgets staff and data base resources. When necessary, reallocates resources to maximize benefits. Prepares and delivers presentations on database management systems (DBMS) concepts.

Education: BA/BS.

Experience: Typically has a minimum of four years directly related experience. Four years of additional experience is considered equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree.


System Administrator

Duties: Supervises and manages the daily activities of configuration and operation of business systems which may be mainframe, mini, or client/server based. Optimizes system operation and resource utilization, and performs system capacity analysis and planning.

Education: BA/BS.

Experience: Typically has a minimum of four years directly related experience. Four years of additional experience is considered equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree.


Sr. Administrative Specialist:

Duties: Depending on the functional specialty provides administrative-type support to technical and management-level personnel. This includes, but is not limited to, documentation planning and support, project administration, preparation of deliverables and proposals, internal reports, briefings, general office support, executive secretarial support, human resource planning, event planning and administration, office relocation planning, mail services, records, and data input. May supervise other support specialists performing on the project. Progressive experience in office automation tools and participating on projects. Knowledgeable in computer based documentation and presentation techniques, technical typing and word processing. Integrates inputs from various sources to create a cohesive product. Prepares both graphical and narrative presentation material.

Education: Associates Degree

Experience: Typically has a minimum of four years of experience providing support to a technical program. Two additional years of experience is considered equivalent to an Associate s Degree


Administrative Specialist:

Duties: Depending on the functional specialty provides administrative-type support to technical and management-level personnel. This includes, but is not limited to, documentation planning and support, project administration, preparation of deliverables and proposals, internal reports, briefings, general office support, executive secretarial support, human resource planning, event planning and administration, office relocation planning, mail services, records, and data input. The Administrative Specialist should be capable of assisting with price and cost estimates, developing cost tracking systems, reconciling actual costs with various financial reports, and typing of contractual and management reports

Education: Associates degree.

Experience: Typically has a minimum of two years of experience providing support to technical programs. Two years of additional experience is considered equivalent to an Associates Degree.


Jr. Administrative Specialist:

Duties: Under close supervision, provides administrative-type support to technical and management- level personnel. This includes, but is not limited to, documentation planning and support, project administration, preparation of deliverables and proposals, internal reports, briefings, general office support, executive secretarial support, human resource planning, event planning and administration, office relocation planning, mail services, records, and data input.

Education: High School/Trade School.

Experience: Typically has a minimum one-year of experience in administrative functional specialty.
