Team, Wins Army Rapid Response Program Subcontract |

The Army's Communications-Electronics
Command (CECOM) at Fort Monmouth in Eatontown, New Jersey has awarded
a Government-wide high-technology Rapid Response Program contract
to a team led by Galaxy Scientific Corporation. Government agencies
utilize the Rapid Response Program by submitting task requests
to the Communications-Electronics Command who manages the process
for requestors on this pre-competed, rapid response contract vehicle.
CECOM assembles requirements and releases them to prime contractors
like Galaxy Scientific. The primes then have 7 days to deliver
technical solutions and cost analyses by tapping into pre-assembled
teams of highly qualified subcontractors. The agency requesting
the task then is involved in approving the proposed task execution
plan and selecting the contractor team to perform against their
statement of work. CECOM takes the administrative burden off the
requestor and the principal decision maker in award of the task
is the original requestor. Operations are fast, efficient and are
handled electronically through the Program's Integrated Digital
Environment. The Prime contract is valued at $650 million during
the first two years and, with options, could be worth as much as
$2.7 billion over eight years. The Galaxy Scientific team will
be responsible for proposing solutions for research and development,
technology assessment and insertion, systems engineering and integration,
training and logistics projects at the Federal Government level
as well as for state and municipal homeland-security agencies.
INDUS Technology, Inc. is proud to be a part of the Galaxy Scientific
