San Diego based INDUS Technology,
Inc. announced today that they have received a Seaport Enhanced
rolling
admissions contract award from the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC).
Previously INDUS was awarded a Seaport Enhanced (SeaPort-e) contract
for Zones 2 and 6. INDUS and its team members have now been approved
to perform in all Zones 1 thru 7. INDUS has taken the rolling admissions
opportunity to add over 29 sub-contractors to its SeaPort-e team,
with a significant portion of these being small businesses. The companies
include: Access, Collins Consultants, Coalescent Technologies Corp.,
FSK Technologies, GeoLogics, Haulsey Engineering, ICI, IPS Network,
MBK Consultants, Liberty, Applied Sciences Corp., Omega Point Solutions,
Progeny, RL Philips, Telesis Corp., the Marlin Alliance, TLC, Alutiq,
ACS, Galaxy, KEI Pearson, L3 Communications, NAVMAR, SETA, TDS, WFI,
Wielly Laboratories (AI Engr. Services) Lockheed Martin, and SAIC/AMSEC.
This adds to the initial team members of EG&G Technical Services
Inc., DDL Omni, Anteon, Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC), DRS,
and Booz Allen Hamilton.
The Virtual SYSCOM began acquiring Engineering, Technical and Program
Management services under the SeaPort-e in May 2005. In October 2004,
the Virtual SYSCOM Commanders formalized an agreement to expand the
ordering community of SeaPort-e to include all Virtual SYSCOM activities
and to leverage the success of the SeaPort-e in achieving objectives
across the Virtual SYSCOM.
Advantages of SeaPort-e electronic procurement of Engineering, Technical
and Programmatic support include: electronic processing; leveraging
buying power and increased emphasis on past performance in the source
selection process; strong small business participation; ability to
easily set aside competitions for small businesses; and a real time
reporting and Business Intelligence.
The Commanders of the Navy Virtual System Command are leveraging
the successes and efficiencies of SeaPort-e by designating SeaPort-e
the vehicle of choice for future Engineering, Financial and Program
Management contractor support services. This emphasizes their focus
on implementing cost-effective integrated business practices to better
support the Navy.
INDUS Technology, Inc. is a provider
of Communications, Command & Control
and Computer systems engineering, Modeling and Simulation, Program
Management, and Financial, Contracts and Administrative services
to the Department of Defense and other government agencies.
